Model A Ford
Model B Zenith Carb
1932-34 Zenith B Carb
The Model B Zenith carburetor was fitted to American four cylinder Ford vehicles from 1932 to 1934. They are still popular today and are fitted to many Model A's as well as model B Fords.
We offer a line of spare parts for these carbs.
Quite a lot of Model A Fords have the Model B engine fitted to them. There are two things to do to check this. Firstly, look at the water pump at the front of the engine. If the water pump is held on with three bolts, you have a model B cylinder head. Secondly, if there is a fuel pump boss on the front right of the engine block (this may have a blanking plate on it) you have a model B engine.
Most Model A Fords that have a Model B engine, are still using the normal Model A carb, but it is worth identifying the carb first, before ordering the wrong parts. A quick look at the fuel inlet pipe gived it away. The model B carb has the fuel outlet pointing towards the radiator. The model A Zenith, has the outlet pointing to the side of the car.
